I tried updating my ASUS X205T to the big Windows 10 November update pack thingy. My (silly) assumption was that it would download and apply smoothly and I'd be off and running.
No such luck.
I tried to apply the update twice - the first time things got stuck at 40%, and the second time I hit a roadblock at 44%. A little Google searching led me to this article which offered some great troubleshooting tips. The one that did it for me was:
- Unplug as many external peripherals as possible.
I had a USB receiver for my Logitech mouse, an SD card inserted, and an external wifi card plugged in. So for round #3 I downloaded the update, and when prompted to reboot, I unplugged everything and, as they say, third time was the charm.
